Terms of Service for Sati Player (iOS)
End user agreement supplementing Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

By downloading, installing, or using Sati Player (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Apple’s Standard EULA. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not install or use the App.
These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). If any translated version differs from the English text, the English version prevails.
1. License Grant & Permitted Use
- SatiBhavana grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
- The App is strictly a personal offline media player and study utility for Dhamma discourses, chanting recitations, and personal audio/video files.
2. User-Provided Content & Intellectual Property
- No bundled media: the App does not provide, host, stream, sell, or distribute any audio or video content. All media is supplied solely by you.
- Your responsibility: you warrant that you own or have permission to import and play every file you open in the App.
- No infringement: do not use the App with unauthorized, pirated, or infringing media.
- App intellectual property: all software, interfaces, designs, brand assets, and icons remain the property of SatiBhavana.
3. Educational Nature & Non-Medical Disclaimer
- The App is an educational and contemplative media player for talks, chanting, and reflective audio.
- It provides no medical, psychological, psychiatric, or clinical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or cures.
- It is not a medical device and makes no claims about physiological or wellness outcomes. Practice conveniences such as phrase loops and the singing-bowl sleep timer are study aids only.
4. File System & Data Safety
- Non-destructive design: the App reads your files without changing them. Metadata edits, playlists, and notes live in the App’s private database, never in your files on disk or iCloud Drive.
- Your backups, your responsibility: keep your own copies of personal media. SatiBhavana is not liable for data loss, deletions made in the Files app, or iCloud sync anomalies.
5. Privacy & Sandboxing
Your use of the App is also governed by the Sati Player Privacy Policy. The App collects no personal data, shows no advertisements, uses no third-party tracking or analytics SDKs, and runs entirely within the on-device iOS sandbox.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
- The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, SatiBhavana is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
7. Governing Law & EULA
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SatiBhavana operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
