Privacy Policy for Sati Timer (iOS & watchOS)

Official declaration adhering strictly to Apple App Store Review Guidelines.

Developer: SatiBhavana • Applies to: Sati Timer for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, widgets, and Live Activities

Effective Date: September 28, 2026 • Version 2.0.0

Thank you for using Sati Timer (“the App”). Your privacy is central to how the App is built: it works fully offline and collects nothing about you.

This policy supports the App Store “Data Not Collected” privacy disclosure (Review Guideline 5.1.1). If any translated version differs from the English text, the English version prevails.

1. At a Glance

Sati Timer does not collect, track, transmit, sell, or share any personal information.

App Store Privacy Label Guarantees:
  • No account, no login, and no registration required.
  • No third-party SDKs — no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, attribution, or tracking frameworks of any kind.
  • Everything the App remembers stays on your own devices.
  • Data Used to Track You: None.
  • Data Linked to You: None.
  • App Store disclosure: “Data Not Collected” (Review Guideline 5.1.1).

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores only what it needs to function, and only on-device:

  • Meditation sessions (start/end time, duration, chosen bell) — to show your practice history, streaks, and calendar.
  • Preferences (theme, language, sounds, presets, wake/silence options) — to remember your settings.
  • Widget snapshot (today’s minutes, streak, timer state) — to render home widgets and Live Activities.
  • Watch cache (recent sessions, current settings) — to display the same data in the Apple Watch companion.

Purpose for all of the above: core app functionality only. Nothing is used for profiling, advertising, or any secondary purpose.

3. How On-Device Features Work

  • Apple Watch sync runs directly between your paired iPhone and Watch over Apple’s encrypted WatchConnectivity channel (local wireless only). No data crosses the internet and no server is involved.
  • Widgets and Live Activities read the shared on-device store described in §2. They send nothing anywhere.
  • Backup export/import creates or reads a local JSON file through the system share sheet. A backup leaves your device only when you personally share or save it somewhere — the developer never receives it.

4. Information We Never Collect

Sati Timer does not integrate with Apple Health or HealthKit.

The App does not access or collect: your name, email, or any account identity; location; contacts; photos; camera or microphone input; health or fitness data (no mindful-minutes access); device advertising or vendor identifiers; or any analytics, diagnostics, or usage telemetry.

5. Sharing and External Links

  • We share nothing with third parties, because we hold nothing to share.
  • The single external link in the App — the Privacy Policy row in Settings — opens this policy’s hosted page in Safari. Once you leave the App, the website’s own practices apply.

6. Retention and Deletion

On-device data is kept until you remove it.

  • Deleting the App deletes all of its on-device data, including history, preferences, and widget/Watch caches (subject to normal iOS behavior).
  • Backup files you exported live wherever you saved them; delete those copies yourself. There are no server copies anywhere, so there is nothing further to erase on our side.

7. Security

Your data is protected by the iOS app sandbox and your device’s encryption and passcode. No network transmission means no interception risk. Once you share a backup file yourself, its safety depends on where you put it.

8. Children’s Privacy

Sati Timer is rated 4+ and collects zero data from every user of every age, which satisfies COPPA and equivalent children’s-privacy rules worldwide. There is no age gate because there is nothing to gate.

9. Your Rights and Contact

Because all data lives on your devices, you already hold it: view it in the App, manage backups in Settings, or delete it by deleting the App.

For any privacy question, contact [email protected] — we reply within 30 days.

10. Changes to This Policy

If the App’s privacy behavior ever changes, this policy will be updated, the effective date revised, and the change noted in the App’s release notes. The current version always ships in step with the App release it describes.
